 Still life arranged like a vignette with two apples, a wine jug, herbs and a shot snipe, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left "Henri Gogarten 1881", in need of cleaning, partial loss of color, framed, folding dimensions approx. 35.5 x 55.5 cm.
 Artist info: also Henri Gogarten, German still life and landscape painter (1850 Linz a. Rhein to 1911 Munich), studied with Oswald Achenbach at the Düsseldorf Academy, study visit to Paris from 1874–77, from 1878 to Hamburg, from 1889 to Munich and finally Active in Dachau in 1891, from 1897 involved in the Glass Palace exhibitions, 1899–1901 major Berlin art exhibition, resident in Karlsfeld near Dachau from 1902, source: Thieme-Becker.
