Oil / hard fiber, unsigned, work of the German painter and graphic artist Edgar Klier (born February 23, 1926 in Zwickau, † June 8, 2015 in Zwickau), 1940/43 apprenticeship as a ceramic painter, 1948/50 he studied at the painting a Drawing school in Zwickau with Carl Michel and Karl-Heinz Schuster, at the HS for Fine Arts in Dresden he studied from 1951/55 with Erich Fraaß, Heinz Lohmar, Max Erich Nicola and Rudolf Bergander, the main topics were mining and landscape, After completing his studies, he worked as a freelance and devoted himself to these two topics, he also worked as a circle leader in the Karl Marx coal works and in the Wismut Werk 536 of the SDAG Wismut, Klier was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR, here large-format school scene 2 girls and 2 boys from the GDR interested in learning, approx. 120 x 165 cm, in good condition
